SAIC is seeking qualified applicants to support a cutting-edge data, analytics, and AI platform. Roles include managing customer relationships, service portfolio and catalog management, software engineering & development, data/AI engineering, IT systems operations, and use case intake and analytics for DoW enterprise-scale mission objectives expected in Spring/Summer 2026.
Positions are contingent pending contract award.
A majority of the opportunities are in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area (WDCMA). Some work may be performed remotely, subject to Government approval.
Job Responsibilities:
- During Transition In:
- Inherit existing architecture artifacts and tech documentation.
- Conduct architecture discovery sessions with government and CDAO stakeholders.
- Assess current modular maturity across NIPR/SIPS/JWICs environments.
- Identify technical debt, vendor-lock risks, and non-standard components.
- Review existing APIs, tech standards, risks and constraints.
- Map current DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Assess current cloud architecture.
- Develop a strategic engineering plan for addressing identified gaps and anticipated challenges from the above.
- Design and develop solutions for:
- Complex application integration problems.
- System administration issues.
- Network concerns.
- Perform systems management and integration functions.
- Interface directly with all user types and WDP development teams in all phases of the product lifecycle to:
- Eliminate roadblocks.
- Maintain requirements discipline.
- Continuously enhance WDP system performance and capabilities.
- Maintain critical industry and academia relationships to source and accredit best-of breed AI/ML tools, accelerating accreditation.
- Architect use case solutions in support of Customer Success Operations.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with 18 years of relevant experience; or Master's with 16 years of relevant experience, or PhD or JD with 8 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts, data pipelines & APIs.
- Ability to leverage domain expertise for a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements.
- Advanced problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated track record of identifying roadblocks, analyzing root causes, and driving effective resolutions.
- Customer-centric mindset, ensuring solutions support positive user experiences while meeting stakeholder expectations and mission outcomes.
- Ability to engage directly with diverse user groups and coordinate closely with development teams throughout all phases of the product lifecycle.
- Experience applying DoW Security Management and Security Engineering policy guidance and directives.
- Experience with DoW RMF, vulnerability assessments, Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) reporting, and IA problem resolution.
- Experience with evaluating cybersecurity engineering tradeoffs in cloud-native and multi-cloud environments.
- Experience designing and implementing security controls in accordance with NIST SP 800-171 and NIST SP 800-53.
