SAIC is seeking an Agilist to provide SETA support to SAIC's Prime Program, Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA. Landmark AOS is a large SETA program, supporting the NRO's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle. All candidates must have an active Top Secret/SCI CI Poly.
As an Agilist, you will play a crucial role in facilitating and enabling the successful implementation of Agile practices within our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration, communication, and delivery of high-quality products or services.
Responsibilities to include:
- Serve as an Agile facilitator and coach, guiding teams in adopting and implementing Agile methodologies, principles, and practices.
- Act as a Scrum Master or perform duties similar to a Release Train Engineer (RTE), fostering a collaborative and self-organizing team environment.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring adherence to Agile processes and maximizing team productivity.
- Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and development teams to prioritize and manage product backlogs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
- Remove impediments and obstacles that hinder the progress of Agile teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between team members, promoting transparency, trust, and accountability.
- Monitor and track team performance, providing timely feedback and coaching to enhance Agile practices and team dynamics.
- Ensure adherence to Agile metrics and reporting, providing visibility into project progress, velocity, and quality.
- Collaborate with other Agile teams, coordinating dependencies and facilitating cross-team communication and collaboration.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in Agile methodologies, contributing to the continuous improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's and nine (9) years or more experience; Master's and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Poly.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) certification is preferred.
- Experience in an Agile role, such as Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Release Train Engineer (RTE) "like" position.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, principles, and practices, such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide teams towards self-organization and continuous improvement.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and foster collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Experience in software development or related technical domains is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile tools and software, such as JIRA or Azure DevOps, is desirable.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
