SAIC is seeking An Air Battle Management Operations Analyst to support the Air Force Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) program at the USAFE-AFAFRICA Warfare Center (UAWC) in Einsiedlerhof, Germany. 

 

COBRA provides for the implementation, integration, development, and delivery of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) solutions to support the US Air Force, Department of Defense, and mission partner multi-domain operations (MDO) within the Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) strategy.

The role of this position is to provide Air Battle Management Operations expertise to facilitate the delivery live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) training to US, allied, and partner-nation warfighters spanning the United States European Command (USEUCOM) and United States Africa Command (USAFRICOM) Areas of Responsibility (AOR) at the of tactical and operational levels of war.

 

The Air Battle Management Operations Analyst will:

·        Conduct simulated and constructive air battle management operations during LVC exercises and events for missions that include: 5th generation fighter employment, Fighter Integration (FI), Offensive Counterair (OCA), Defense Counterair (DCA), Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), Suppression of Enemy Air Defense (SEAD), Air Interdiction (AI), Close Air Support (CAS), Strike Coordination and Reconnaissance (SCAR), Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR), and Dynamic Targeting (DT).

  • Provide Joint Air Operations planning support for exercises and events at the tactical and operational level of war:
    • Prepare, coordinate, and present USAF, Joint, and Allied air warfare briefings, support academic development and instruction, and lead air warfare discussions with a wide range of audiences as requested by the US Government.
    • Develop scenarios for integration into UAWC-sponsored and supported training and exercise events. These functions include, but are not limited to, designing relevant scenarios, presentations, and briefings.

o   Develop exercise documents including Air Operations Directives (AOD), Air Tasking Orders (ATO), Airspace Control Plans (ACP), Airspace Control Orders (ACO), Area Air Defense Plans (AADP), Special Instructions (SPINs), Joint Master Scenario Event Lists (JMELs), and scenario execution files.

o   Facilitate the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) with warfighters including exercise scenario development, mission planning, mass briefs, mission briefs, execution, debriefs, analysis, and after-action reports.

Qualifications

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Rated Air Battle Manager with operational experience within 5 years and with a minimum of 10 years of operational experience.
  • Minimum of 200 hours of flight instructor or flight evaluator experience.
  • Expert and comprehensive knowledge of Joint force air battle management operational doctrine and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Extensive operational experience with Battlefield Command and Control Center (BC3).
  • US Citizen and Active U.S. Top Secret clearance, eligible for SCI and SAP.
  • Bachelor's and 9 or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree

Desired Experience/Qualifications:

·        USAF Weapons School graduate (or US Navy equivalent).

·        USAF Mission Commander or USMC Senior Air Director.

·        Proficiency in AFTTP 3-2.5 and AFTTP 3-2.8 to provide TAC C2.

·        Knowledge of US Joint doctrine and USAF doctrine.

·        Familiarity with the following systems: Next Generation Threat System (NGTS), Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE), Air Warfare Simulation (AWSIM).

 

Expected Salary Range (highly dependent on candidate qualifications):

·        $120,000 - $160,000/year
