SAIC is seeking a AWS Cloud Engineer supporting a growing federal financial program. This individual will have to have experience in a multi-cloud environment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and design cloud solutions (within AWS, Azure, GCP and OCI) and Design/build solutions, and processes to deploy, operate, and maintain resilient secure Cloud environments to enable development teams to deliver features in the most efficient way possible.
  • Operate and maintain cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and SRE principles.
  • Maintenance and ongoing development of automation and continuous build/integration/deployment infrastructure for multiple environments; write, build and deploy scripts.
  • Enable observability and resilience throughout multi-cloud landing zones and Dev/Test/Prod environments.
  • Support implementation of security policies, standards, guidelines, and governance.
  • Continuously assess, onboard, and enable new FedRAMP cloud services using security best practices for IAM and networking.
  • Optimize cloud performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud strategies with business objectives.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's and five years or more of related experience. Master's and three or more years of related experience.(4 years experience in lieu of degree)
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Proven background working in cloud environments with experience and knowledge in 4 or more of the following areas:
    • Project Management methodologies including Scrum or Agile
    • Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence
    • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, Artifactory)
    • CSPs including Azure, AWS, OCI, or GCP
    • Containerization and container management with Kubernetes and Helm
    • Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
    • Git, branching strategies, GitFlow and/or GitHub Flow
    • Cloud high availability and scalability best practices and architectures
    • Disaster Recovery planning and implementation in cloud environments
    • Experience designing and implementing landing zone architectures in cloud environments, including multi-account strategies, network segmentation, and security controls.

Desired:

  • Professional cloud certifications from multiple cloud service providers (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect)
  • Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Familiarity with federal government compliance standards and frameworks (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST, Cloud Smart Strategy, etc.)
  • Experience with Zero Trust architecture principles and implementation in cloud environments.
  • Experience with Identity Principles and Access Management at large/enterprise scale.
  • Understanding of Cloud Network principles

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
