SAIC is seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer with experience creating automations using Terraform, Puppet, and Kubernetes that accelerate our client's adoption of AWS native services and their maturation in AWS managed assets.

Responsibilities are comprised of:

• Maintaining existing AWS hosting environments to ensure operational excellence and availability to client
• Creation of new DevOps pipelines for delivering
• Legacy business applications from on-premise to AWS IaaS
• New AWS native services for business application consumption
• Enrichment of Splunk log aggregation          

Qualifications

Required Education and Skills:

• BS in Computer Science or related field with five or more years of experience (4 years experience in lieu of degree)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a USDA public trust requiring U.S. Citizenship

DevOps Skills sought:

• Must have prior experience implementing IDP (internal Developer Platform) with Kratix and Argo CD
• AWS network architecture
• Application Operations and Maintenance for COTS applications as well as custom-developed Angular, Java, Dotnet, and containerized applications
• AWS serverless technologies
• Multi-account AWS Architectures
• Configuration as Code – Puppet (Ansible, Chef, Salt experience is good and translates to Puppet just fine – though Puppet is preferred)
• Infrastructure as Code – Terraform
• Splunk Enterprise
• Kubernetes
• ArgoCD/GitOps deployment workflows
• CI/CD methodologies
• Experience working in Agile framework
• Soft skills – Task tracking and delivery planning, coordinating with multiple teams, taking ownership of projects

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
