SAIC is seeking a CNC/ Welder for our site in Hanahan, SC. 

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

• Will primarily be tasked with performing moderate to complex vehicle integration task to include some metal work, welding, and reviewing customer drawings.
• Provide assistance to related support areas not limiting to kitting, logistics, and quality. 
• The ability to read and understand metal fabrication drawings and perform additive and subtractive manufacturing functions. 
• Support engineering activities such as test and fabrication.
• Work Safely in a Machine Shop environment.
• Communicate with leadership, team members, and the customer. 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

Highschool and two (2) year related experience.

Required Experience: 

• Must be able to safely complete all the physical demands of the job in a manufacturing environment, including but not limited to the following:  
• Experience operating a welding and operating CNC machines.
• Lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying up to 50 pounds, on a regular basis.
• Walking, bending, stooping, sitting, or squatting for extended periods.
• A familiarity with machine shop equipment, quality tools, or hand tools needed for metal work.
• Familiar with the use and operation of power tools is necessary.
• Able to obtain a Forklift License.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. 

Required Clearance:

• US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. Active DOD clearance accepted.
