We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic M&A Integration Leader to drive the planning and execution of M&A integration activities across our portfolio. This critical leadership role is responsible for ensuring that deal objectives are realized, value is captured, and integrations are delivered seamlessly across functional areas, including Commercial teams, Operations, Finance, IT, Legal, and HR. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, the M&A Integration leader will be responsible for executing the organization's efforts around inorganic growth strategies. The ideal candidate will bring strong background in managing end-to-end M&A integration processes, a high level of cross functional leadership, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end integration process for M&A transactions from due diligence through full operational integration.
- Partner with Corporate Development and Deal Sponsors to define integration strategy and success criteria aligned with transaction rationale and strategic goals.
- Develop and manage detailed integration plans, timelines, and cross-functional workstreams.
- Act as the central point of coordination between business units, functional leaders, and external advisors during integration
- Identify potential integration risks and mitigation plans to ensure business continuity.
- Drive synergy realization efforts, including tracking, measurement, and reporting of key financial and operational KPIs.
- Work with acquired entity leadership to deliver modeled/underwritten revenue and EBITDA performance
- Ensure alignment across functions and practice and facilitate conversations, as needed, with key leaders on process improvement
- Lead or facilitate integration of governance, including Steering Committee updates and stakeholder communication.
- Collaborate with acquired company leadership to ensure cultural alignment, employee engagement, and smooth organizational transitions.
- Oversee the reporting and resolution of issues, risks and dependencies, identify potential planning gaps proactively, suggest mitigations to risks or actions to close issues or complete open items, and monitor and support acquired businesses to ensure a smooth and seamless transition post M&A, continually driving rapid growth and success.
- Compare post-merger financial results against pre-deal projections and assumptions to identify and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Assist the acquired company's management team in setting priorities, engaging appropriate resources, and navigating the operating model to ensure a smooth transition. Leverage the playbook to frame phases for acquired leadership.
- Support change management and internal communications throughout the integration lifecycle.
- Document and continuously improve integration playbooks, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in M&A, Corporate Strategy, Finance, Transformation, Management Consulting, or a related field, with at least 7 years leading M&A integrations.
- 5+ years Aerospace, Defense, and Government experience
- Proven track record of managing multiple, complex integrations
- Strong business acumen and understanding of functional operations (Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Commercial, etc.).
- Experience in leading the development of integration and separation plans for major acquisitions and divestitures
- Exceptional project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Highly analytical with a focus on results, KPIs, and value creation.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, influence without authority, and drive alignment in high-stakes settings.
- Extensive knowledge of best practices in M&A integration, program management and change management.
- Excellent relationship building skills and ability to work across the entire organization.
- Comfortable and effective at making high impact presentations to the ELT.
- Leading large cross-functional teams comprised of both corporate and operating staff.
- Ability to simultaneously manage several projects.
- Action and decision focused, strong ability to drive to closure.
Target salary range: $240,001 - $280,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
