Description
SAIC is seeking a Distribution Mobility Planner to coordinate the end-to-end synchronization of global distribution elements, ensuring the effective deployment and redeployment of forces and equipment. The planner will facilitate integration and movement planning, enhance unity of effort among diverse distribution organizations, and continuously refine deployment planning to respond to evolving mission requirements and logistical challenges.
The days & hours for this role are Sunday through Thursday 1:30pm to 10:00pm.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate end-to-end synchronization of global distribution elements for deployment and redeployment of forces and equipment.
- Facilitate integration and movement planning of self-deploying and lift-supported units, including retrograde and sustainment transport operations.
- Enhance unity of effort among diverse distribution organizations through effective information sharing and collaborative planning.
- Apply simulation and analysis tools to optimize movement planning and improve adaptability in dynamic operational environments.
- Continuously refine deployment planning during execution to meet evolving mission requirements and logistical challenges.
- Maintain situational awareness of strategic and theater lift capabilities for timely and cost-effective adaptation to changes in force flow.
- Identify and communicate movement constraints such as CBRN contamination, beddown limitations, and asset shortfalls, providing mitigation recommendations.
- Perform feasibility analyses of transportation capabilities, including organic, common-user, and strategic lift resources.
- Interface with USTRANSCOM and other supporting commands to evaluate and recommend Points of Embarkation (POEs).
- Anticipate and manage disruptions from TPFDD changes, ensuring timely reprogramming of forces.
- Conduct ongoing analysis and coordination to balance combat forces, Combat Service Support (CSS) units, and Host Nation Support (HNS) capabilities.
- Collaborate with Functional Planners (FPs), Service component commands, and joint staff to refine, validate, and integrate unit-level movement and embarkation data into JOPES.
- Support movement control responsibilities by validating Unit Line Numbers (ULNs) within the TPFDD.
- Coordinate and develop comprehensive deployment and movement plans using the Time-Phased Force and Deployment Data (TPFDD).
- Assess and incorporate operational environment changes, force posture shifts, and strategic guidance into deployment planning and execution sequencing.
- Promote partner capacity building and interoperability through planning and executing collaborative air mobility initiatives, training events, and sustainment operations.
- Manage and maintain In-Transit Visibility (ITV) capabilities to enable real-time tracking of personnel, equipment, and cargo.
- Assess, optimize, and mitigate resource competition for distribution assets through integrated lift provider coordination.
- Implement deconfliction strategies and develop improved solutions to reduce operational friction.
- Identify and aggregate distribution requirements in coordination with Joint Force Commanders (JFCs).
- Ensure timely delivery of logistics support to meet Required Delivery Dates (RDD) and provide Transportation Distribution Dates (TDD) aligned with Combatant Commander (CCDR) requirements.
