SAIC is seeking a Cyber Solution Engineer to work remote within the U.S.
The EIT solution engineer (SE) with cyber domain expertise. The SE is comfortable with complex heterogeneous system environments. As such, the SE leverages domain expertise and understanding of customer requirements to lead the development of a complete proposal solution that meets all technical requirements, resulting in a price-competitive proposal. The SE needs familiarity with SAIC tools, methods, and experience; the ability to elicit technical and customer information and quickly synthesize it into a tailored solution approach; and the tenacity and flexibility to meet the often-short timelines inherent in shepherding a proposal effort through to submittal.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Cybersecurity focused Solution Engineer serve as a catalyst and subject matter expert to deliver cybersecurity solutions that empower our customers to achieve their mission objectives.
- Collaborate with EIT delivery and BD capture team certified estimator to produce cybersecurity solutions pricing/BoMs for new opportunities
- Serve as liaisons between vendor and SAIC BD/Capture teams.
- Work with EIT-Capabilities KM Lead to harvest, modify and make available cyber capability collateral and security artifacts.
- Provide program-funded customer support (health checks, rescue, demos, surge support, strategic planning, implementation jumpstart).
- Collaborate with EIT-Services lead to create standard interview process, technical evaluation.
- Collaborate with EIT-Services Lead, EIT-Capabilities Lead and partner management team to evaluate and plan cyber community of practice to enable cross company Coordination (Business Groups, Market Areas, Innovation Factory, Programs etc.).
- Collaborate with EIT-Capabilities BD/Sales Lead to establish and manage cybersecurity focused pipeline.
- Collaborate with EIT-Capabilities BD/Sales Lead and Partner Management team to support cybersecurity vendor partnership management to help ensure partner solutions are marketable to federal customers.
- Create, distribute, and train the SAIC standard approach to cybersecurity solution development, engineering, governance, and management.
- Represent SAIC in Trade/Industry Show Support.
- Develop and present a business case for cyber and cloud Mission Advisory Services to value proposition, cost model and specific SAIC opportunities over the next 18 months.
- Actively respond to cyber support requests to timely determine the scope, applicable cyber solutions, delivery/integration/engineering approach, and rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimate.
- Provide cybersecurity guidance to internal SAIC projects to prepare of customer deployments, minimize duplication of effort in customer spaces, and minimize maintenance costs.
Qualifications
Required Education and Clearance:
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret or higher clearance.
• Bachelors and zero years of experience. In lieu of a degree, four or more years of experience will be considered.
Desired Skills and Certifications:
• Basic understanding of the risk management process.
• Security+ or higher Certification.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Demonstrated proficiency coding in a scripting/programming language (Shell, PowerShell, Python, Javascript or similar).
• Excellent critical thinking and analysis skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
