SAIC is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Bedford, IN to support the U.S. Navy.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position performs activities that involve the assembling and integration of military and commercial systems including modification of military platforms. This position needs someone with a basic understanding of cable assembly and cable molding, both rubber and urethane.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Reading and understanding cable schematics.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Knowledge of cabling, harnesses, molding, and application.
- Working directly with both shop leads and management to ensure process and schedules are met.
- Working directly with customers to assist in finding solutions to issues they may be having.
- Being familiar with current project capabilities and knowing where improvements can be made.
- Understanding cable requirements from certifications such as J-STD-001 to MIL-STD cabling.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of experience; Additional experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; not needed to start.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, flow charts and use logical troubleshooting techniques.
- Must have good communication skills, interface well with others.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
- High attention to detail and quality.
- Able to plan and execute daily and weekly scheduled tasks.
- Able to keep work area clean and organized.
- Excellent team player with organizational and time management skills.
DESIRED:
- Experience with printed circuit boards (PCBs).
