SAIC is seeking an Electrical Engineer Supervisor to support our team in Indianapolis, IN.
The Electrical Engineer Supervisor will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Research, design, develop, modify, evaluate, and test a variety of electronic equipment and systems
- Includes radar and radiation detection equipment, radio, television and other communications equipment and systems
- Involves circuitry components, analog and digital computers, and control and test equipment
- Conduct experimental tests on equipment and evaluate results
- Develop specifications for selecting components and equipment
- Review vendors' abilities to support development
- Directly supervise individual contributors (skilled technicians, administrative support)
- Supervise entry-level professionals (accountants, entry-level engineers)
- Receive assignments in the form of objectives with goals and processes to meet goals
- Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance
- Administer company policies that directly affect subordinate employees
- Recommend changes to unit or sub-unit policies
- Management reviews work to measure the meeting of objectives
- Administer and execute policies, processes, and procedures affecting subordinate employees and workflow
- Lead daily operations of the work unit
- Assignments are task or activity-oriented
- Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment, overall quality, and efficiency
- Decisions impact work unit operations
- Erroneous decisions, recommendations, or failure to achieve results might cause delays in schedules
- Require the allocation of more people and financial resources
- Interact internally primarily with subordinates and other supervisors
- External interactions typically with suppliers, vendors, and/or customers
- Primary purpose of liaison is information sharing and basic problem resolution
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree and five (5) years' experience; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
Required Clearance:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required.
Required Skills:
PBC design with IPC knowledge
Desired Skills:
Experience with Altium Designer
Knowledge of PADS
Proficiency in Zuiken
Understanding of Visio
Competence of LTSpice
Experience with Solidworks
