SAIC is seeking an Electrical Technician with strong mechanical assembly experience and significant software test and integration expertise to support our Tsunami Warning Buoy production and integration efforts. SAIC currently provides roughly 95 percent of all commercially deployed buoys in the world, produced at a 17,000-square-foot facility in Poway, California. Successful candidates must have significant electrical and mechanical assembly experience as well as testing and test-oriented integration experience, excellent communication and team skills, and will be expected to continually balance work priorities to meet rapidly evolving customer needs and tight deadlines. This is an ONSITE role in Poway, CA.
JOB DUTIES:
Test-oriented systems integration, verification, and validation.
Test results analysis, performance analysis, and concise reporting.
Assembly of electronics and mechanical systems.
Support the deployment of Tsunami Buoy Systems as required.

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and two (2) years or more in relevant manufacturing experience. Years of experience in lieu of degree will be taken into consideration.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Precision soldering experience.
Experience with cable assemblies.
Experience supporting Microsoft Office, Windows OS and Linux OS.
Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word Software.
Understanding of Network, System Integration and Test Environment software.
Strong experience with all types of lab test equipment (O-scopes, Multi Meters, Power Supplies, etc.)
Strong interpersonal communication (oral and written).
Experience working in High-Mix, Low-Volume (HMLV) manufacturing.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Pressure vessel assembly skills a plus.
Previous ship-based deployment experience a plus.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
