SAIC is seeking an Electronic Assembly Quality Inspector to support our team in Indianapolis, IN.
JOB DUTIES:
- Experience inspecting printed circuit boards, circuit card assemblies, or electronic assemblies in a manufacturing or repair depot environment
- Advanced knowledge of IPC_A_610 and J_STD_001 standards; IPC certification strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of SMT, through-hole, rework, and soldering processes
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and process documentation
- Skilled in using microscopes and inspection equipment
- Experience documenting inspection results, writing quality reports, and communicating findings to engineering and production teams
- Demonstrated ability to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and make quality decisions with minimal supervision
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:
- AA Degree and six (6) years related experience or High School Diploma and eight (8) years related experience.
- Preferred background in quality, engineering, Aerospace, or military specifications.
- Candidate must be a US Citizen.
- Excellent technical, analytical, and engineering qualifications with outstanding customer service skills.
- Experience with Customer Service, Support & Communication.
- Experience with document control, technical documentation, blueprints & schematics.
- Problem Identification & Resolution.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with measurement tools and X-ray Inspection
- ISO 9000; ISO 9001; AS9100; IPC-J-STD; IPC-A-610
