SAIC is seeking an Embedded Controls Engineer located in Auburn Hills, MI to support the System Integration Lab (CSIL) for the Joint Lightweight Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) program to develop, integrate, and validate  electrical and embedded systems for vehicle platforms.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Design and implement verification plans for vehicle electrical and embedded systems on bench, using a suite of vehicle components, Software in the Loop (SIL), Hardware in Loop (HIL), Man in the Loop (MIL) testing emulators / simulators
  • HIL/SIL testing, system validation, and troubleshooting of embedded control systems
  • Develop test algorithms using MATLAB / SIMULINK models
  • Implement CAN network topology and validate communication protocols such as SAE J1939 and CANoe
  • Support overall test bench systems design, and integration
  • Conduct EMC testing and compliance to ensure system reliability in rugged environments
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and implement vehicle control and automation solutions
  • Support production integration efforts, identifying and resolving electrical design issues for improved system performance

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's and five (5)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • Must have experience using MATLAB/SIMULINK
  • Experience using CANoe or CANAnlyzer software's
  • Experience with vehicle systems, software and network communications
  • Experience using communication connectors such as J1939 CAN, Ethernet, USB etc.
  • Knowledge of Electrical Engineering fundamentals and electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, power supplies, etc.)
  • Knowledge of systems engineering and integration principles such as requirements definition, verification and validation testing, interface control documents (ICDs) and systems engineering management plans

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

  • Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
  • Must be a current US Citizen
