SAIC is seeking Site Survey Leads to support the FAA Flight Data Input/Output (FDIO) Second Level Engineering organization. These positions are 100% remote when not traveling. Requires up to 30% travel within the United States.
Job Responsibilities may include:
- Communicating with stakeholders to develop FDIO FDTS installation requirements
- Reading and modifying site drawings
- Identifying hardware and software needs
- Developing and presenting informational briefings to stakeholders
- Developing detailed engineering reports
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years of experience. May accept additional experience or degrees.
- Knowledge of air traffic operations and procedures in the en route and terminal domains
- Experience with cable paths and protocols (serial, Ethernet, Fiber)
- Experience in integrating work efforts involving National Airspace System (NAS) decision support systems.
- Experience providing support and communications at operational field facilities during site surveys
- Skilled in using MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills using both technical and user-friendly language, including the ability to summarize discussions and action items.
- Possess a flexible personality, self-motivated and willingness to multi-task.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Required Clearance:
- US Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
