SAIC is seeking a GEOINT Systems Engineer to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services at Fort Belvoir, VA.  The selected candidate will work multiple mission system projects and tasks—from broad, strategic issues (e.g. policies, concept of operations, etc.) to tactical concerns (e.g., near-term schedules, testing, transition, etc.).  Responsibilities: 

·         Support Chief Engineer and government staff to execute systems engineering and integration (SE&I) activities across the site

·         Work with SE&I teams to execute site system engineering process; oversee site processes used to document and manage mission system baselines to accommodate mission growth

·         Interface with System Program Offices (SPO) to integrate various GEOINT mission systems into a ground-based architecture, ensure the delivering organization understands site integration needs and processes

·         Assist in developing standards, processes and procedures; review and evaluate technical documentation (e.g. CONOPS, requirements; issues and risks, readiness, etc.)

·         Represent government's interests at various forums; provide analysis and recommendations to multiple government customers

·         Coordinate with key project managers on a routine basis to evaluate contractor performance

 

Qualifications

Required:   

·         Must be a US Citizen

·         Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph

·         Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM)* and nine (9) years or more experience; or master's in STEM field and seven (7) years or more experience. *contract requirement

·         Technical knowledge of GEOINT mission systems; familiar with space vehicle mission planning and command and control systems, or ground communications and mission data processing systems

·         Full system engineering life cycle experience

·         Ability to work independently to support multiple government customers and large, complex projects to address organization's needs throughout system development lifecycle

·         Self-starter, proactively addresses customer requirements without supervision; expert at defining solutions for broad, abstract topics

·         Polished communicator (written/verbal), impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment 

·         Master at collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders -- consensus builder

 

Desired: 

·         Real-time operations experience as a GEOINT spacecraft operator, spacecraft engineer, or ground systems operator; familiar with space operations and policies

·         Familiar with Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Agile development, cloud technologies, government technical standards

·         Project management experience with delivered systems
