SAIC is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) for a hybrid position based in Charleston, SC. This role requires you to be onsite 3 days per week, with the possibility of increasing to 5 days during peak periods or as dictated by business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Deliver Training Materials: Collaborate with a team of ISDs to create high-quality, computer-based and instructor-led training products (e.g., lesson plans, checklists, videos, web-based storyboards, presentations, exercises, and assessments) tailored to the target audience and aligned with learning objectives.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with subject matter experts (SMEs), graphic designers, programmers, and technical writers to ensure effective and accurate courseware.
- Conduct Front-End Analyses: Analyze software systems, applications, and processes to determine learning needs and recommend effective training solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Design Instructional Content: Develop training curricula aligned with learning objectives, incorporating engaging course formats, structured content, and effective delivery methods to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
- Provide Review and Feedback: Review training content for consistency in tone, formatting, readability, and flow. Provide actionable, timely feedback to drive quality revisions that meet project goals.
- Measure Training Effectiveness: Monitor outcomes, assess learner performance, and analyze metrics to ensure training materials meet learning objectives and goals.
- Develop Scrum Master Skills: Learn to support Agile team operations by assisting with Scrum ceremonies, improving team collaboration, and contributing to project coordination as needed.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience; Masters and one year of related experience
Required Security Clearance:
- Must be a US citizen with an active secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience with the ADDIE instructional design process, industry-standard tools (e.g., eLearning tools, LMS), and the application of computer-based technologies.
- Familiarity with Command and Control (C2) systems and applications or similar operational environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including tools such as SharePoint and Teams.
- Strong professional writing skills, with the ability to develop clear, concise, and engaging instructional materials.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to provide and incorporate constructive feedback, collaborate effectively with teams, and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
