SAIC has an opening for two (2) Aviation & Mission Systems Intern to support Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering, and Integration (S3I) customers onsite at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.

The Aviation & Mission Systems Intern will be responsible for but not limited to the following: 

• Assist with the maintenance, design, development, and testing of systems
• Help with troubleshooting, data collection, testing, and resolving technical issues
• Learn and assist with various industry tools and technologies
• Collaborate with our team to achieve project goals and objectives

FOCUS AREAS:

• Computer Networking & Information Security – Basic understanding of computer networking and information security principles with a familiarity of operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux, etc.)
• Aerospace Engineering - Basic understanding of aerospace engineering principles with knowledge of Modular Open System Approaches (MOSA) across a variety of weapon systems design and development

Qualifications

Required Education:

• Currently enrolled in a STEM or technical degree path and three (3) years of college or work-related experience

Required Clearance: 

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance; US Citizenship required. 

Required Skills: 

• Proficiency in basic computer skills, virtual meeting, and using cloud based tools
• Solid work experience with customers/resolving issues while meeting schedule requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to encourage, inspire, and participate in teamwork
