SAIC is seeking a Launch Systems Integration Engineer to be an integral participant in satellite ground system command and control software requirements development, design analysis, coding, and verification. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph and is located in Chantilly, VA.

Job Duties include:

• Reviews and coordinates changes to specifications, ICDs, and system level requirements documentation for spacecraft and launch vehicle interfaces.
• Tracks development issues and attends unit, subsystem, system level design reviews.
• Supports launch and spacecraft on-orbit test, as required.
• Identifies and assesses emerging risks and develops & evaluates proposed burn-down plans.
• Reviews developer's readiness to proceed into spacecraft test at various levels of assembly.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• 14+ years professional experience.
• Technical expertise in spacecraft to launch vehicle interfaces, system level integration, test, and launch to include preparations for launch, launch processing, and launch operations.
• Subject matter expertise in spacecraft to launch vehicle interface development, coordination, and verification as well as the requirements generated for the spacecraft side of the interface.
• Knowledgeable of flight operations of space vehicles and the launch exercises necessary for launch team preparation.
• Experience in DoD IC acquisition and program management processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with personnel from multiple functions and at all levels of the customer organization to deliver results; strong networking, interpersonal, customer service skills, team building and problem-solving skills with an ability to be effective in a government/contractor team environment.
