Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:

  • Design & Development
    • Develop and analyze static and dynamic mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging designs.
    • Ensure designs meet all mechanical performance criteria, including load and vibration requirements.
    • Generate innovative solutions for new system designs and drive continuous improvement for existing systems.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Conduct feasibility studies, performance testing, and risk assessments for new and modified designs.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet customer needs and project requirements.
  • Documentation & Collaboration
    • Provide critical design information to drafting teams for documentation.
    • Review detailed engineering drawings, ensuring specification compliance.
    • Support prototype fabrication and direct support personnel as needed throughout the design implementation process.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Two (2) or more years of professional experience in mechanical design.
  • Demonstrated design experience, including hands-on work with SolidWorks.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CREO and ANSYS.
  • Familiarity with Windchill or other Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
