SAIC is seeking a Non-Kinetic Warfare and Electronic Warfare Senior to support the US Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFAMS) program at the US Air Forces Europe / Air Forces Africa (U-A) Warfare Center (UAWC) in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

AFAMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) standards that support the US Air Force, Department of Defense, and mission partners facilitating all-domain Warfighter training across the full spectrum of conflict.

This position provides Non-Kinetic Warfare and Electronic Warfare expertise to facilitate tactical level-of-war and operational level-of-war training to US, allied, and partner-nation warfighters spanning the United States European Command (USEUCOM) and United States Africa Command (USAFRICOM) Areas of Responsibility (AOR). 

The Non-Kinetic Warfare and Electronic Warfare Senior will:

  • Provide Non-Kinetic Warfare and Electronic Warfare support to Tier 1-4 exercises.  This includes, but is not limited to, large force employment exercises integrating USAF, US Joint Force, allied, and partner nation forces in the air, land, sea, space, and cyberspace domains, as well as and smaller events exercising specific capabilities.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and present USAF, US Joint Force, and allied air warfare briefings, support academic development and instruction, and lead air warfare discussions with a wide range of audiences as requested by the US Government.
  • Develop scenarios for integration into UAWC-sponsored and supported training and exercise events. These functions include, but are not limited to, designing relevant scenarios, presentations, and briefings.
  • Develop exercise documents including Air Operations Directives (AOD), Air Tasking Orders (ATO), Airspace Control Plans (ACP), Airspace Control Orders (ACO), Area Air Defense Plans (AADP), Special Instructions (SPINs), and mission execution products.
  • Facilitate the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) with warfighters including exercise scenario development, mission planning, mass briefs, mission briefs, execution, debriefs, analysis, and after-action reports.
  • Execute and/or support blue, red, and white force roles in simulation systems that include the Next Generation Threat System (NGTS), Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE), Air Warfare Simulation (AWSIM), Future Force Experimentation Air Defense Simulation (FFEADS), F-35 Emulated Non-OFP Interoperability Xperience (FENIX) simulator, MQ-9 MSAT, and JTAC simulators.
  • Conduct simulated air operations during exercises in a Non-Kinetic Warfare and Electronic Warfare capacity for missions that include 5 Gen fighter employment, 5 Gen / 4 Gen Fighter Integration (FI), Offensive Counterair (OCA), Defense Counterair (DCA), Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), Suppression of Enemy Air Defense (SEAD), Air Interdiction (AI), Close Air Support (CAS), Strike Coordination and Reconnaissance (SCAR), Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR), and Dynamic Targeting (DT).

Qualifications

Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • RC-135 Rivet Joint (or similar weapon system) Instructor Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO) or Evaluator EWO within 5 years, and with at least 10 years of operational experience.
  • Minimum of 200 hours Instructor EWO or Evaluator EWO experience.
  • Expert knowledge of USAF and US Joint Force Non-Kinetic Warfare and Electronic Warfare Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs).
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess an Active U.S. Secret security clearance, eligible for Top Secret / SCI.
  • Bachelor's and 9 years, or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree

Desired Experience/Qualifications

  • USAF Weapons School graduate.
  • Mission commander.
  • Air Operations Center experience.
  • Headquarters Air Force (HAF) staff or Major Command (MAJCOM) staff experience.
