SAIC is seeking a Operations Resource Analyst to support the Air Force Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) program at the USAFE-AFAFRICA Warfare Center (UAWC) in Einsiedlerhof, Germany. In this pivotal dual-focus role, you will oversee logistics management and system security compliance, directly contributing to the protection and reliability of UAWC's Models and Simulations (M&S) systems while ensuring the seamless operation of critical networked environments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage all Government Furnished Property (GFP) provided to the UAWC Models and Simulations (M&S) team and program management team.
· Accountability: Control, protect, and preserve all GFP, supplies, and equipment in accordance with Air Force Instruction (AFI) 23-101. Develop and maintain a tracking method
· Coordinate with government property owners to receive hardware. Track warranty information for UAWC M&S hardware and ensure compliance with manufacturer guarantees. Turn in out of date or unused hardware to the appropriate government property owner for disposition at their discretion.
· Perform network security monitoring and incident response for UAWC M&S systems operating with Windows based operating systems.
· Conduct weekly security updates and vulnerability mitigation. Coordinate with UAWC Cyber Security team to identify system vulnerabilities and maintain secure systems. Support the maintenance of system and network accreditation across all Local Area Networks (LANs) hosting UAWC M&S hardware.
· Support the sustainment of the accredited cybersecurity posture of UAWC M&S hardware on various domain enclaves by actively tracking and maintaining system compliance with applicable Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs). Report any deviations or shortfalls to the UAWC Cyber Security Team for further assessment.
· Support and assist with the STIG/SRG checklist process, tracking automated compliance scans and manual STIG checklists based on DISA releases. Validate results and track/report compliance of configuration changes based on CYBERCOM tasking orders or other DoW short-notice threat response notifications.
· Oversee the establishment and maintenance of active hosts on different networks and the corresponding basic inventory listings of software used to determine STIGs and/or SRGs that need to be applied.
· Assist in researching configuration updates/changes and apply a “patch-and-test” approach to determine if a particular configuration update/change will have a detrimental effect on the processes and mission to decide on application in the operational environment.
Qualifications
Required Experience and Qualifications:
· A bachelor's degree plus 5 years of recent IT experience, OR; relevant years of experience in lieu of degree
· US Citizen and active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
· DoDM 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) 541 (System Administrator) education, training, or certification qualifications at the intermediate or advanced level. Accepted certifications are: CompTIA Cloud+, Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), Global Information Assurance Certification Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), CompTIA Security+, Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
· Proficient using MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
*Major certifications include: CASP+, CCIE, CCISO, CCSP, CFR, CISM, CISSP, CySA+, CNP, GCED, GCFA, GCIH, GCIG, JNCIE-SEC, Google Professional Cloud Engineer, M365 Enterprise Admin Associate, M365 Modern Desktop Admin Associate, Microsoft Azure Developer Associate, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, RCHA, RHCSA, VMware CP – Data Center
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Relevant operating system certifications, including Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Solutions Craftsman: Server Infrastructure, and Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), are highly valued.
· Demonstrated experience in government property management, covering the full asset lifecycle: acquisition, inventory control, turn-in, disposal, and maintaining accountability for lost or damaged items.
· Microsoft Windows environment, UNIX, Linux, VMWare, VDI zero client architecture.
· Experience conducting ACAS scans and installing security updates and patches.
