JOB DESCRIPTION:

SAIC has an immediate opening for a Senior Project Scheduler in Chantilly, VA who will be responsible for establishing and managing an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) that provides decision makers with an accurate, timely, and integrated Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for portfolio acquisitions, service delivery projects, and all their interrelated dependencies. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate must be able to:

  • Develop and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule, integrating inputs from developers, service providers, and/or partners
  • Review service provider Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and other schedule input sources for milestones and change impacts
  • Assess vendor provided System Engineering artifacts, such as test plans and Requirements Verification Traceability Matrixes (RVTM's) for schedule realism
  • Provide program and project-level analysis and briefings of service delivery status including critical path trends, milestone adjustment impacts, observed opportunities adjust deliveries for improved efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure program developed IMS is compatible with other IMS's to allow visibility into broader program critical paths and enterprise-level schedule analysis
  • Provide assessments and Courses of Action (COA) recommendations in written and oral presentations to Program Office personnel
  • Mentor other Program Office personnel on appropriate scheduling practices
  • Support customer with other as assigned duties related to program management, execution, and communications

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Within a STEM field of study:  Bachelor degree and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph
  • Demonstrated experience of scheduling processes
  • Working expertise with Microsoft Project
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • The ability to work proactively, independently, and/or as a member of a highly effective technical team while developing approaches
  • Strong communication skills, including providing written and oral presentations to audiences from a diverse set of backgrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Systems Engineering , and other Program Management tools
