SAIC is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for our HALO program which is a part of the National Intelligence Community. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the program products and services. The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability for the organization's products and/or development processes. This position is in Reston, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the implementation of quality assurance protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with all government, contractual, and company regulations and standards.
- Lead the quality assurance team to conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement within the organization's processes or products.
- Collaborate with program managers and other team leaders to ensure quality standards are understood and integrated into all aspects of project execution.
- Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints or non-conformance issues.
- Manage and maintain the company's quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes, and finished goods.
- Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures, including preparing quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Engage with external quality assurance officers during on-site inspections and provide required information.
- Implement and improve quality assurance tools and processes to ensure the scalability and reliability of our operations.
- Guide technical staff to achieve quality standards and provide training and support as needed.
- Coordinate with government representatives and auditors regarding compliance issues, and participate in external audits/evaluations.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant quality assurance techniques and practices pertinent to the intelligence community.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
Desired Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, management information systems, or equivalent experience
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of quality assurance experience in the intelligence community or defense contracting.
- Demonstrated understanding of quality assurance standards and methodologies relevant to the intelligence community.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Proficient in data collection, analysis, metrics generation and reporting.
- Exceptional leadership and management abilities to oversee a quality assurance program.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and staff, as well as external partners and contractors
Desired Experience:
- Proven ability to develop and implement a Quality Management System to AS9100/ISO-9001.
- Experience with Confluence
- Adapts easily to a dynamic environment
Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance with the required polygraph
