SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician III in Crane, IN to support the U.S. Navy. This position is responsible for performing activities involving the assembling and integration of military and commercial systems including modification of military platforms.
This position will be on base working in the serpentine area overhauling serpentines.
The candidate must be familiar with mechanical and electrical concepts and applications and must have experience using testing equipment such as: volt/ohm meters, power supplies, micrometers, calipers and depth gauges. Candidate will be operating in environments that could result in the use of ladders, scissor lifts and or man lifts. It is expected that the candidate will have some experience in dealing with mechanical and electrical prints in their work history
Must be able to:

Self starter
Effectively utilize both hand and electrical powered tools
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Education or equivalent.
- Database or Excel experience is a bonus.
- Forklift experience is preferred.
- Must be able to use a computer and simple software applications.
- Adept with most hand and power tools (i.e. wrenches, screwdrivers, nutdrivers, impact wrench...)
