Introduction:
Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). The National Security & Space Sector of SAIC is seeking current students studying in technology-related fields who graduated in 2023 or will graduate in 2024 or 2025.
We are looking for an ambitious, self-starting individual studying software engineering and software development (e.g., applications, web, embedded, tools, database); systems engineering (DevOps, Cloud, Linux); information technology (ITSM and ITIL); Business; and Math.
This is an opportunity for you to obtain a high-level security clearance and prepare you for a successful start to your career. Qualified candidates must have excellent communication skills and work well in groups. You will receive mentorship and gain insight into how SAIC provides customer support and cutting-edge technologies that support and advance the DCSA mission. The work is primarily remote, but there may be times when you are asked to report onsite at a customer location.
Job Description:
You will be placed into a technical team working with networking, cloud and cyber engineers. You will be responsible for recording technical information during meetings with client stakeholders, gathering data and presenting in a format that is easy to understand. You will assist team members with reviewing, editing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in support of Task 3, Architecture and Engineering, operations. You may be asked to solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures. Your work will be closely supervised.

It is required that the Intern have the following qualifications:
- Actively pursuing or very recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Information Technology or a related technical field.
- Must be a 2023 graduate or expected to graduate through 2025.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. If selected for the program. SAIC will sponsor the clearance.
- Must be Customer Service oriented with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to interface with various customers and stakeholders.
- Must have the ability to organize, analyze and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft 365 applications.
- Must possess good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be available to work 10-20 hours per week.
Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
