Job Description:
This position is for a Security Analyst in Chantilly, VA supporting cutting-edge and innovative space programs. Be part of a highly effective and collaborative front office team responsible for delivering expectational support to senior level government staff.
The Security Analyst supports the Government program office team conducting security actions related to the SAP notification, approval, and maintenance for program office staff. The position is integrated into the Govt-led Program Office team requiring full-time on-site work. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Role Responsibilities:
• Administering the SAP Nomination Process by processing, logging, and preparing incoming and outgoing SAP & SCI Nomination packages.
• Conduct annual SETA requirements in conjunction with the program; provide security indoctrination, debriefings, pre/post Travel briefings and annual refresher briefings as necessary.
• Classified document & media control to include maintenance of logs tracking documents in transition.
• Investigate security violations and submit required reports to the government.
• Administrative Security functions such as organizing and filing all administrative program security paperwork.
• Maintaining all end of day logs, safe checks, visitor logs and pass down logs.
• Assist the government with physical security and provide security escorting for uncleared personnel as required.
• Process and track incoming and outgoing Visit Authorization Requests.
• Conduct self-inspections; manage preparations for and representation of security inspections and audits by government security personnel.
• Proactively partner with the Satellite Program Office and support staff Teams to address urgent gaps and resolve challenges that impact the Program.
• Support facility planning and actions.
• Partner with the Government Military Leader and Program Managers to strategically and tactically guide nationally-critical satellite programs through acquisition, engineering, and operational trades to achieve on-time launch and on-orbit performance.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience; PhD or JD and ten (10) years or more experience.
• Direct SAF Security Program Management Experience: Experience coordinating SAF security functions with a DoD environment.
• DISS/JAD Management: Experience managing Defense Information System for Security (DISS) Joint Access Database Environment.
• Security Knowledge: Proficient in Information Industrial, and personnel concepts and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work in high visibility customer offices.
• Effective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment with no supervision.
• TS/SCI Required. Poly preferred OR ability to obtain Poly.
• Previous SAP experience desired.
