The customer's Budget Team Business and Resource Management (BRM) Support is a full-time position integral to the management and execution of the customer's budget as well as daily business operations. As part of the department front office, the BRM Support will be in a trusted position to coordinate and manage business activities related to a variety of research programs as well as sensitive budget actions. With a small but dynamic Budget Team, the BRM support must be adaptable, resilient under pressure, and capable of both operating independently and as part of a coordinated team.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Serve as concurrence step on all financial transactions, reviewing for accuracy, adherence to budget guidance, and alignment to approved spend plans.
- Review, implement, and document updates to fiscal year spend plans.
- Review and update daily transactions in customer budget applications.
- Assist department personnel with financial transaction guidance and troubleshooting.
- As needed, coordinate with Department and Office-level budget and resource personnel to facilitate daily operations, satisfy data calls, and respond to actions.
- Provide data-driven insights and visualizations in response to management queries and broader customer tasking.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
· Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
· Bachelor's degree in an applicable field (four years of relevant experience may substitute in lieu of a degree) and at least ten years of work experience.
· Prior experience with and broad knowledge of customer budgeting and acquisition applications, systems, tools, and protocols.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, PowerQuery).
· Proven ability to effectively manage competing priorities as well as anticipate requirements and potential issues.
· Demonstrated sound judgement and discretion.
· Proven ability to adaptively prioritize time-sensitive issues.
· Self-starter who is flexible and willing to meet the challenges and changing needs of a dynamic organization.
· Proven track record of being a team player who is willing to pitch in and get the job done.
Desired Qualifications:
· Familiarity with federal budgeting cycle and/or customer budgeting process.
· Proficiency with Microsoft PowerBI.
