SAIC is seeking a Senior Director of Benefits to lead the strategic development and administration of benefit plans to support our employees' needs. The ideal candidate will drive innovation with a forward-thinking benefits strategy and deliver sustainable, scalable results that support our Employee Value Proposition. This role will report to the SVP, Total Rewards and Performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement employee benefits strategies that align with the company's strategic goals and support our employees and their families.
- Explore, benchmark, and recommend changes to benefit programs.
- Effectively collaborate across corporate functions, ensuring accuracy in budgeting and forecasting costs, compliance and stakeholder alignment.
- Develop executive-level presentations, presenting benefit-related materials to all levels of the organization.
- Continuously monitor and report on performance of benefit plans
- Manage third-party partners to deliver optimal services within budget.
- Maintain comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision insurance, FSAs, HSAs, 401(k) match, life insurance, disability programs, leave programs, and more.
- Maintain our broad benefits offering including medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts (FSAs), health savings accounts (HSAs), retirement plans (401k with company match), life insurance, disability programs, paid leave/leave of absence, voluntary benefits and more.
- Oversee the annual enrollment process: renewals, communications, contracting, and execution.
- Conduct due diligence for acquisitions, evaluating risks and impacts on valuation.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA as well as requirements unique to the government services industry.
- Manage Service Contract Labor Standards, Union, and Expatriate benefits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or certification (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in employee benefits administration, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Industry experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven strategic planning and execution in benefits programs.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with ability to convey complex information and manage vendor relationships.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and benefits administration software.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.

Target salary range: $200,001 - $240,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
