SAIC is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to support S3I at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. The candidate must have military logistics, military hardware maintenance, and military system experience. 

 

The Senior Field Service Engineer will provide on-site logistics and hardware services and technical support to S3I as part of a project team focusing on the engineering, development, and integration of software and hardware for PAE Fires on multiple system platforms. 

 

Duties: 

  • Shall work with teammates on logistics, hardware, and software to create Fires capabilities for multiple DoD and other Government agencies
  • Shall be required to travel and participate in various events and demonstrations

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in engineering, science, or related field and fourteen (14) years related experience; Additional six (6) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle).

 

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance or have ability to obtain one; US Citizenship required.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience providing software and hardware field support and logistics development support on DoD programs
  • Detailed knowledge and experience across the software and hardware engineering sustainment lifecycle from fielding and initial delivery through full rate production to system sustainment to include system obsolescence mitigation
  • Detailed knowledge and experience with developing operator instructions, maintenance plans, system trouble shooting guides and system quick reference guides
  • Detailed knowledge and experience with developing training programs and materials for the operation and maintenance of complex systems
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and document both software and hardware configuration and behavior
  • Experience conducting User Jury analyses as input for selecting the preferred user interface and workflow
  • Demonstrated experience in process establishment and improvement for logistics development
  • Experience performing analysis and producing documentation revealing the interdependencies between processes, technologies, applications, and data
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines (e.g., test, software, hardware) to ensure all maintenance requirements can be met
  • Superior communication (e.g., presentation, speaking, writing) skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
