The candidate shall provide senior-level technical and analytical support to the Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), within the Colorado Springs operating location. The qualified applicant will directly support SWAC in the planning, development, and execution of experiments, exercises, and wargames supporting the Space Force's Force Design missions and operational concept development.
The qualified applicant will be directly responsible for integrating highly technical, exquisite systems and capabilities into analytic tools and special events, to include the planning and execution of multi-domain mission analysis within Special Access Program (SAP) environments. The candidate shall provide technical expertise in modeling, simulation, and systems analysis to inform SWAC's decision support, strategy development, and force design assessments.
This position directly supports digital simulation & wargaming events and other high-priority analysis initiatives by coordinating with mission partners across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community (IC), and joint program offices to enable operationally relevant data-driven analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and execute high visibility wargaming/simulation events at multiple classification levels to evaluate SWAC Force Designs and operational concepts
- Integrate SAP program technical capabilities into wargames, simulations, and special events, ensuring cross-domain mission realism and technical accuracy
- Coordinate with government, DoD, and IC stakeholders to define objectives, develop scenarios, and establish analytical measures of performance and effectiveness
- Conduct system-of-systems modeling, simulation, and mission utility analysis to assess capabilities across space, cyber, and spectrum warfare domains
- Support concept exploration, vulnerability assessments, and threat characterization to inform future force design decisions
- Capture, analyze, and document event findings, experiment results, and analytic conclusions for presentation to SWAC and senior Space Force leadership
- Provide subject matter expertise to inform tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and operational employment concepts
- Support planning sessions, coordination meetings, and after-action reviews with mission stakeholders at the O-6 and General Officer/Flag Officer level
- Develop and maintain technical materials, briefings, and reports required by the SWAC Technical Direction Plan (TDP) and applicable PWS tasks
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for access to Special Access Program information
- Active Polygraph or willingness to take a Polygraph
- Master's degree is preferred in Operations Research, Systems Engineering, or a STEM discipline; or Bachelor's degree with 18 years of relevant technical experience.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience supporting U.S. Space Force, Air Force, or equivalent DoD/IC operational analysis, wargaming, or systems engineering efforts
- Demonstrated experience conducting modeling and simulation, statistical experimental design, or data analysis for mission-level assessments
- Knowledge of U.S. space operations, threat systems, and counterspace mission areas
- Experience integrating SAP-level capabilities into operational concepts or wargame constructs
Target salary range: $240,001 - $280,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
