SAIC is seeking a Senior Program Manager Director to provide leadership and strategic inputs into the SAIC Huntsville Army Business Group Organization located in Huntsville, AL.

The candidate will be responsible for overall execution and delivery as the sole Project Manager on a Category 1 program with domestic or international funding. Alternatively, may serve as Program Oversight for other programs or in support of the higher/larger enterprise by establishing guidance and direction regarding program execution or provide oversight of program execution activities across a significant portion of the company program portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic input into product strategy and development, develop strong relationships with customers and industry partners and will advise leadership on all relevant aspects of program and project level scope, schedule, resources, and overall ownership of program and project level financial performance
• Manage and direct the daily execution of multiple programs and projects within contract requirements to ensure that cost, schedules and performance goals are met
• Lead all assigned program or project meetings with appropriate cross functional team representation (pre-planning, kick-off, through project close)
• Interface, communicate and coordinate with internal and external customers on matters pertaining to existing contracts and bid and proposal activities
• Participate as a team leader on bid and proposal activities
• Ensure that the requirements of the request for proposal are met in the preparation and documentation of bids and proposals
• Help lead and facilitate resolution of all issues to successfully achieve project/program goals and customer deliverables

Qualifications

Required Education:

• Bachelor's Degree and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience; six (6) years' experience accepted in lieu of degree per contract

Required Clearance: 

• Must hold an active DoD Secret clearance

Required Skills:

• Must have 10+ years of Program/Project Management experience with demonstrated ability to develop strong internal and external customer relationships
• Possess knowledge of program management tools and procedures
• Solid leadership and management skills, particularly influence management and conflict resolution
• Possess experience with metrics for assessing and reporting program progress, productivity and variance analysis
• Excellent customer interface and leadership skills
• High level of proficiency with MS Project, spreadsheets, and presentation software
• Excellent collaboration and working across organization skills to achieve top performance results
• Be growth minded to expand SAIC's Customer base
• Able to increase revenue and position SAIC in existing and new markets and business areas
• Self-starter and a problem solver with ability to see the big picture and implement changes 
• Demonstrated success in managing staff planning, project reviews, scheduling and budget control
• Successful track record in managing complex defense programs as a prime or subcontractor
• Excellent leadership and oral and written communication skills
• Experience managing programs and projects within a vertically integrated company
