Description
SAIC is seeking an engineer to support modeling and simulation studies in the mission realm. Must be able to move between individual software development efforts and leading teams of developers as needed to meet mission requirements. Development tasks will cover the gamut from software-in-the-loop to hardware-in-the-loop test and evaluation over domains ranging from physics-based simulation development to test hardware development and test operations. Experience in working in a lab environment such as those at Eglin AFB is a definite plus.
The applicant should be able to work on-site at Eglin AFB and will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of contractors and government personnel. Must have the ability to clearly document work and publish results at conference as requested by the customer.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in science or engineering and 18+ years; OR Master's Degree in science or engineering & 16+ years of experience
Experience with simulation and simulation tools
Experience with military simulations and simulation technology.
Experience with Windows, Linux and Real-Time Operating Systems.
Programming skills in Python, C++
Understanding of the physics and engineering needed to develop new technologies
Must have a current DoD Secret Clearance
Ability and desire to pass on skills and relevant experience to junior personnel.
