SAIC is looking for an SharePoint Developer Associate to develop and support out-of-the-box and custom SharePoint solutions using custom scripts, web parts and features pertaining to agency objectives, public programs, and other initiatives within the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), an independent agency of the United States government. The team operates within the agency's Information Technology Infrastructure Operations Department (ITIOD). The role is a part of the IT Infrastructure Modernization and Innovation providing digital transformation ring solutions in support of the PBGC ITIOD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain SharePoint applications and sites.
- Collaborate directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver user-friendly solutions.
- Assist in developing and customizing SharePoint components using client-side technologies.
- Help ensure SharePoint applications meet quality, performance, and usability standards.
- Participate in technical reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Support project management by providing status updates and identifying potential challenges.
- Follow governance policies, including security standards, to maintain site integrity.
- Document technical solutions and assist in creating development plans and estimates.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust requiring U.S. Citizenship.
- 0-2 years of experience with SharePoint development, including client-side scripting and web technologies.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with JavaScript, jQuery, REST API, and SharePoint client object model (CSOM).
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and XSLT for customizing SharePoint site appearance.
- Experience working with SharePoint content types, lists, web parts, and workflows.
- Exposure to SharePoint integration with Microsoft 365 tools such as Teams, Power BI, Power Automate, and PowerApps.
- Knowledge of SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, and workflow development is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot front-end issues and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail in documentation.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
