SAIC has an opening for a Senior Special Security Representative located aboard Twenty Nine Palms, CA responsible to provide specialized security expertise for the  Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF). 

This position is in direct support of the Special Security Officer (SSO) at Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) located at Twenty Nine Palms, CA.  Security expertise includes in-depth knowledge of DoD personnel security processes and regulations, the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), security facility entry/exit monitoring systems and processes, and relevant experience in Special Security office management.  Position requires the ability to analyze data from various sources and make appropriate program recommendations to the SSO.  Manage facets of a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) program including physical, personnel, information and industrial security.

 

Job Duties:

  • Performing the following briefings: Indoctrination, Indoctrination Assists, Debriefings, Annual Refresher Training, Defense Travel Briefing, and Courier Briefing. The contractor shall grant the following access: Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) Physical Access, Outgoing Visit Requests, Incoming Visit Requests, Intelligence Badge Requests, Systems Account Requests, and SCI Requests for Access.
  • The contractor (SSO) will supply technical expertise on Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Access Control System requirements for the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
  • The contractor will assist the Special Security Officer (SSO) during Preliminary Inquiries to resolve Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security incidents.
  • The contractor will assist the Special Security Officer (SSO) utilizing technical expertise in initiating and leading construction or maintenance planning projects involving SCIF Operations.
  • The following Pre-Construction requirements must be developed and managed by the Special Security Officer (SSO):
  • The contractor will assist the Special Security Officer (SSO); develop, update, and manage the following lifecycle documents for the management of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF): Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) Records Management (SRM) required documents; Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); Emergency Plans (EP); Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCL); Tempest Checklists; Special Security Officer (SSO) Appointment Letters; IDS Acceptance Testing; UL2050 Certifications; Final Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) Punchlist; Visitors Logs; Authorized Personnel Rosters; Accreditation Letter.
  • Upon construction/modification and accreditation/reaccreditation of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), the contractor will assist the Security Special Officer (SSO) in the performance of annual lifecycle management and inspections in accordance with ICD-705 and applicable policies and procedures.
  • The contractor will assist the Security Special Officer (SSO) in the performance of the following:
  • Special Security customer service; Manage the Special Security Officer (SSO) Customer Service email Inbox; Process Requests for SCI access (RFA); Verify security clearance information utilizing the agencies personnel security repositories; Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Collateral Indoctrinations; Execution of Non-Disclosure Agreements (4414/312); Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Indoctrination Assists; Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Collateral Briefings/Debriefings; Foreign Travel/Foreign Contact Report processing; Permanent Certification/Visit Request processing; State, Local, Tribal and Private Sector (SLPS) Clearance processing; Annual Refresher Training; Defense Travel Briefings; Intelligence Badge Requests; systems User Account Requests; Co-Use Agreements.
  • Providing ongoing organizational analysis and technical support of Marine Corps, Department of the Navy, and Department of Defense security policies and procedures.  The security project analyst shall provide advice on the full range of administrative support services including interpretation and application of secure facility project requirements based on applicable policies and procedures. 
  • Support controlling and maintaining appropriate databases (e.g DISS/EQIP/NBIS).

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of relevant experience; 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Required Security Clearance:

  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance required (US Citizenship required).  

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work and lead in a team environment with demonstrated experience in a range of security disciplines and excellent customer interface skills.
  • Good analytical skills and be able to operate in a demanding environment while executing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be proficient and skilled in the most current version of Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong verbal and written communications.

 


Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
