SAIC is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with a strong background in system design, software integration, and network architecture. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing cross-functional coordination and technical leadership. Responsibilities include eliciting, documenting, and communicating system and software requirements, as well as developing and evaluating end-to-end architectures. The candidate will also ensure that designs are aligned with the mission environment by working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive technical alignment, manage interfaces, and address dependencies.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
- Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly to be considered
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or another STEM field
- Technical background with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Systems Engineering and Software Architecture
- Proven expertise in working with multiple vendors to develop capabilities and integrate them into an overarching system architecture that meets mission objectives
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of key stakeholders
- Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in writing, editing, and creating strategic and technical briefings and documentation
- Hands-on experience with modern systems, software, and network architectures, including containerized applications
Knowledge of modern software development, Agile methodologies, and familiarity with managing tools like JIRA and Confluence
Desired Experience:
- Experience with telecommunication technologies and their applications
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or another STEM field
- Two or more years of experience designing and implementing acceptance testing for complex, integrated systems
- Background in IT and network infrastructure design, including hardware specification and selection, operating systems (e.g., LINUX), network topologies, and centralized authentication integration
- Previous experience interacting and collaborating with SIGINT-related stakeholders
- Familiarity with engagement in the commercial industry landscape
