SAIC is looking for a Systems Engineer to support a highly dynamic and growing program with one of our US Government customers. You will be a part of a large multi-year contract that supports our customer in systems engineering and integration across a broad portfolio of projects. You will come into a program that enjoys a close working relationship with the customer, bringing exquisite technical expertise to bear on real world problems, helping the customer execute real world missions that impact National Security on a daily basis. This close relationship, along with the program's longevity (20 years), ensures that as a new team member you will find a depth of support to grow and develop that is unmatched, all while making a difference - daily.

 

Your role in the program will focus on general systems engineering and program management support to a growing portfolio of projects within the customer's area of responsibility. You will need experience in managing a capability through the full lifecycle – often from concept to execution and eventual closeout. A broad skill set is essential as the capabilities you will support will range significantly in scope and scale.  Specific exposure to customer operations and targeting are of particular interest.  The ability to operate independently with only occasional guidance from the customer will be necessary in this dynamic environment. Due to the growth of the program and a wide range of external stakeholders, solid communications skills (oral and written) are essential.

 

General Responsibilities:

·       Primary support for the customer portfolio manager on overall portfolio execution.

·       Work closely with system developers on capability development and employment.

·       Work closely with customer operations to ensure mission continuity and maximum capability.

·       Work with the customer portfolio manager in the management and communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

·       Support the customer in evaluating developer technical performance.

Qualifications

·       Experience with SIGINT and cyber capability design.

·       Ability to work independently and act as the customer's representative with developers and outside organizations.

·       Experience with the full system development lifecycle.

·       Bachelors and fourteen years or more experience; Masters and twelve years or more experience; PhD and nine years or more experience.
