SAIC is seeking interns for Summer 2026. This internship provides an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and gain hands-on experience in the field. This is a paid internship opportunity as part of the Network and ITSM Team on the SAIC contract with the County of Orange.

Network Team

Below are the technology focus areas:
• Assist in Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Support the Network team in monitoring network performance and diagnosing issues, including identifying and resolving connectivity problems, latency, and bandwidth usage.
• Participate in Network Equipment Configuration and Deployment: Gain hands-on experience in configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment, ensuring compliance with departmental standards and project requirements.
• Document Network Operations and Processes: Contribute to creating and maintaining detailed network diagrams, system documentation, and customer-facing reports to support operational accuracy and continuity.
• Incident Management Analyst will review, monitor and report on adherence, and provide support as required
• Be involved in driving root cause investigations for high impact/high visibility issues.
• Collaboratively develop creative and meaningful resolutions to problems, creating the best results for our customers and the company.
• Contribute to the design of new processes, data modeling, reports, policies, and procedures across operational, support, and other adjacent teams.
• Assist in collecting, verifying, and updating Configuration Items (CIs) in the CMDB.
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency in ServiceNow CMDB records.
• Collaborate with IT teams to identify and document infrastructure components, relationships, and dependencies.

Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, AI/ML, Engineering, or a related technical field with one year or more of college coursework completed
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework
- Strong technical background and understanding of network management and engineering
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Have a passion for a career in technology
- U.S. Citizen
