Responsibilities:
- Contribute individually and/or as a team member to support our customer's unique mission needs
- Work with key stakeholders to accomplish goals and objectives to support SAIC's project/program portfolio
- Build awareness and experience of key capability skills in support of SAIC business efforts
- Conduct data and process analysis to support development of key solutions
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions in these technical fields
- Support our Data Center Services Manager and project team in areas such as:
- Conducting infrastructure and cloud assessments
- Optimizing report
- Obtaining consensus on Data Center standards and creating/updating the documentation
- Assisting with Azure tooling implementations (e.g. Azure Update Manager)
- Monitoring and shadowing activities in operating systems, middleware and DBA towers
- Applying and improving process automation
- Gain exposure to IT operations from professionals in IT Service Management (ITSM), network and security management
- Participate in proactive monitoring and shadowing of network and security systems
- Conduct CMDB assessments and perform updates
- Execute standard operating changes
Technology focus areas:
- Data Analytics:
- Analyze raw data to generate actionable insights
- Develop reports to identify trends, patterns, and create standardized reporting
- Azure IaaS and PaaS services and tooling
- Linux, Windows, Middleware, and Database Management
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, AI/ML, Engineering, History, English, Business, Economics or a related field with one year or more of college coursework completed
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework
- Strong technical background and understanding of software engineering, cyber security, AI/ML, or engineering concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Have a passion for a career in technology
- U.S. Citizen
Work Location
- Preferred location in/around Orange County, California (for periodic, in-person meetings at our Orange County Data Center Office in Santa Ana, CA)
- Work will be completed fully remote
