SAIC is current looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to help support PMA-242 in California, MD.
This position is hybrid-remote and requires onsite support in California, MD 2-3 days per week. Must be local or willing to relocate to the area to be considered. An Interim Secret clearance is required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Evaluate alternative solutions for technical issues by attending working group meetings, providing technical expertise and feedback for the applicable air platforms, weapons systems and subsystems they support.
- Coordinate with multiple disciplines as required to prepare or review the technical documentation, proposals, investigations, and analyses needed to support ECPs, requirements verification matrices and other appropriate documentation.
- Review, analyze and track specifications and data packages
- Participate in technical working groups, Program Management Reviews, System Safety Working Groups, Systems Engineering Technical Reviews, briefings and other significant program activities.
- Facilitate communications across all stakeholders (PMA-265, Technical Project Office, Northrup Grumman, etc.)

Qualifications
Experience and Skills Required:
- Engineering degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position.
- Interim Secret security clearance is required
- Experience working NAVAIR programs (weapons programs preferred).
- Understanding and the ability to execute tasks associated with NAVAIR's Systems Engineering Processes, Engineering Change. Proposals (ECPs) and Airworthiness/Cybersafe processes.
