SAIC is seeking a skilled and motivated Verification & Validation (V&V) Systems Engineer to support the Tranche 3 Program Integration (T3PI) Program . T3PI is SAIC's Prime Program supporting the Space Development Agency (SDA). T3PI is tasked with leading system engineering and integration efforts for Tranche 3 of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA), a satellite constellation designed to significantly enhance the U.S. military's ability to detect and counter missile threats.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Develop, implement, and support  comprehensive V&V plans, procedures, and schedules to ensure the successful validation and verification of the Tranche 3 PWSA systems and components.
  • Perform detailed analyses of system requirements, design specifications, and technical documentation to verify compliance with project and regulatory standards.
  • Execute V&V activities including functional, performance, integration, and regression testing for the Tranche 3 PWSA satellite constellation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including systems engineers, software developers, and integration specialists, to ensure seamless V&V processes.
  • Utilize advanced testing tools and methodologies to automate and streamline the verification and validation processes.
  • Prepare and maintain thorough documentation of all V&V activities, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues in the V&V process.
  • Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on the status and outcomes of V&V activities, including any identified issues and proposed solutions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing best practices in V&V.
  • Ensure all V&V activities comply with relevant standards, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.
  • Active Top Secret
  • Experience in verification and validation within a complex systems engineering environment, preferably in aerospace or defense.
  • Proficiency in V&V methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Experience with satellite systems and space-based architectures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using V&V tools and software, such as DOORS, JIRA, or similar.

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
