SAIC is seeking an Web-Based Services Specialist (User Experience or UX) in Chantilly VA to support our customer in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with broad impact to the customer's mission.  We are seeking an experienced candidate to gather requirements and design a modernized, centralized website that facilitates seamless communication while accommodating independent department landing pages. This upgraded website will include features such as newsletter functionality, a leadership blog, scrolling communications, and robust access controls. The ideal candidate will support our customer in modernizing their internal website by transitioning to a cloud-based content management system. This transition will streamline the web environment, enabling the use of standardized content templates and reducing administrative overhead for internal communications.  Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for migrating content from the current legacy website, built on HTML and Java, into the new cloud-based environment.


IMPORTANT NOTE:  This position is for a contingent offer and is dependent upon a pending contract award.  SAIC is currently pursuing this opportunity, and employment is contingent upon the successful award of the contract to SAIC and your ability to meet the required qualifications.  Please note that the selected candidate must be available to begin work within 30 days of the contract award.  
 

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required 
  • PhD +4 years relevant experience or Master's degree +7 years related experience or Bachelor degree +9 years related experience
  • At least five (5) years of IC or equivalent experience with WordPress/TalkAbout web design and content management
  • Demonstrated experience with migrating content and access controls within the product
  • Demonstrated experience with Section 508 user accessibility guidelines
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with clients and incorporating feedback into product design
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated creativity with website layouts and modernized communication options
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to document administrative steps to assist the customer with managing their own content in the future
