Job Summary
Regional Education Senior Manager leads the planning and execution of in-store events and brand education initiatives across all brands and nationwide studios. This role involves close partnership with brands and channel partners, operationalizing education strategies, and translating strategic objectives into impactful, brand-specific training programs to directly enhance sales performance. The Senior Manager also supports and guides three direct reports, Regional Education Managers. This position requires a proactive, agile leader adept at navigating complex, fast-paced environments, fostering strong cross-functional partnerships, and continuously elevating operational excellence. Strong influence, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential. Travel is required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and operational support for In-Store events, leveraging a Data-First mindset to ensure efficient rollout and measurable outcomes derived from established strategies.
- Take ownership of translating high-level strategic plans into detailed, actionable class schedules that resonate across 300 diverse studio locations. Ensure that all studios receive timely, consistent, and highly impactful education.
- Actively monitor and analyze regional educational program placement to ensure optimal saturation and coordination with Brand Education and the Sales/Promotional calendar in partnership with Director, Education.
- Maintain a holistic view of executed Education placements to prevent oversaturation or overlap within the market.
- Provide compelling leadership and clear direction to regional education teams and Managers. Inspire a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and passion for learning, ensuring all teams are aligned with execution goals and committed to driving results.
- Oversee the deployment of necessary resources and support to empower our sales associates and guests.
- Collect data related to education program effectiveness to provide insightful reports on execution progress.
- Demonstrate exceptional adaptability and resilience in navigating a dynamic retail and professional beauty landscape. Proactively manage and communicate changes in class launches, brand priorities, or market conditions, swiftly adjusting execution plans to ensure our education remains relevant, effective, and uninterrupted.
- Foster collaborative relationships, ensuring seamless integration of education initiatives with broader business objectives.
- Partner closely with the Continuing Education team to ensure rigorous adherence to all state Continuing Education guidelines for all educational programs delivered.
- Conduct structured Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly status meetings to maintain seamless, efficient, and consistent Education processes within the assigned market in partnership with Director, Education.
- Act as a highly articulate, persuasive, and engaging communicator, capable of distilling complex strategies and performance data into clear, compelling messages for diverse audiences. Deliver impactful presentations that motivate and influence key stakeholders.
- Champion and introduce innovative ways of working that streamline processes, reduce friction, and amplify the impact of our educational efforts in collaboration with Director, Education.
- Oversee P&L management by brand.
- Ongoing travel to each region and attend occasional trade shows.
- Responsible for the growth & development of Regional Education Managers.
- Other duties as required or assigned by Education Leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- At least 5-7 years of industry experience with management/supervisory experience in a corporate environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including both speaking/presenting and listening.
- Proven ability to effectively lead, develop and motivate a team.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint (required) and SalesForce and SAP (highly preferred)
- Able to prioritize and manage time effectively, and to balance competing demands and priorities in a very fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism and sound judgment, effectively builds relationships and resources at all levels of the organization.
- High attention to detail, ability to produce in a demanding environment, takes pride in their work.
- Highly proactive, takes initiative to begin and complete projects, masterful at follow-up and tracking work projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Solid financial abilities, including budgeting and reporting.
- Ability to sit and use normal office equipment (phone, computer etc.) more than 90% of the day.
- Attend occasional trade shows and work weekends as necessary based on business needs.
