What you will be doing:

• Safely operate assigned vehicles to transport sulphur to the designated location
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures during your trip
• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness
• Ensure timely arrivals of customer product
• Communicate with the dispatcher or supervisors for route updates and delivery instructions
• Handle unexpected situations such as traffic delays, accidents, or mechanical issues calmly and efficiently
• Keep vehicles clean, well-maintained, and fueled at all times
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or recipients
• Report any vehicle damage, accidents, or violations to management promptly.
• Adhere to company confidentiality and safety policies

Requirements of a successful CDL Driver

• Current CDL with Hazmat and Tanker, Two years of experience, Experience driving in the snow and ice
• High School Diploma or GED, Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Work weekends and holidays as scheduled; willingness to work nights
• Able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and reference checks, and successfully pass Savage's road test, which will include a proper pre and post-trip inspection of the vehicle

Here are some of the physical requirements of this role: 

• Climb into and out ofthe cab multiple times per shift, Climb a ladder and steps 10 or more times a day
• Lift 50 or more pounds daily while climbing steps
• Drive and work in adverse weather conditions and apply snow chains to tires
• Hook and unhook hoses and open and close valves
