Major Purpose: The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment and controls for the Petroleum Coke handling operations at the Savage/P66 Refinery Facility. The Industrial Electrician will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.   Responsibilities / Job Duties: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance Troubleshoot electrical problems as they arise and repair or replace as needed. Troubleshoot instrumentation problems in the facility and mobile equipment to repair or replace as needed. Troubleshoot PLC and field device systems. Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment and controls Ensure all work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Partner with the Maintenance Team to utilize the CMMS system as a tool of organization and preventative maintenance for record keeping. Collaborate with team members outside of the electrical department, including operations team members, other maintenance personnel, coordinators, and management to ensure the overall success of the operation. Professional customer service.   Requirements/Qualifications: Capable of reading and interpreting electrical schematics and NEC codes. Knowledge of Rockwell/Siemens software including Logix 5000 and RS view Studio. Understanding of instrumentation, VFD Drives, and field safety devices. Understanding of the industrial process and how the different components in such a facility interact. (Conveyors, Bridge Crane, Loading/Unloading System, Crushers, Feeders and Pumps). A successful electrician must have a willingness to learn, and a sense of urgency in performing tasks/duties. Verifiable experience in material handling operations is desirable. Mechanical and/or welding skills are a plus. Must treat people fairly and with dignity and respect. Can follow all policies and procedures as outlined by Savage. Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the safety of his or her own self, or the safety of others. Must be able to work with a team, take directions from leadership, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules. Must possess the ability to read, write, and understand English, follow written and/or verbal instruction, and basic math and computer skills. Must always conduct themselves in an honest and ethical fashion. Must be willing to work Monday through Friday, overtime and weekend on call as needed. TWIC Card required.   Education/Experience: High School or GED. 2-5 years applicable experience.   Physical Requirements:    Must have the ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position: Work in an environment containing coke dust, hazardous noise, and in hot or cold environments. Work at heights, climbing stairs, and climbing ladders. Walk on uneven ground. Wear a respirator. Lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Work in an office environment as needed. #IND1
