Job Summary The Transload Operator's responsibilities include but are not limited to safely and efficiently managing the unloading of materials consisting of a variety of bulk liquid and dry products and is to safely unload and switch railcars in a timely manner. Responsibilities and Duties: Follow operating procedures and policies safely and effectively Perform general maintenance on equipment and assist with handyman duties within the facility (general maintenance, landscape upkeep & painting) Interact with plant people, railroad crews, and visitors Operate and maintain Class 1 Power Units (no CDL required), railcar/trans loading equipment (e.g., hoses, portable conveyors, transfer pumps, portable stair systems, small to medium-sized equipment, etc.) Requirements to be successful in this position: Interest in being cross-trained on all functions at the facility Committed to working safely at all times including a commitment to the policies and procedures of the operation. Positive attitude and a good team member. Must be able to attend and pass all tests associated with job related coursework. For safety reasons, you must be able to read, write, understand, and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English Some experience in a rail environment a plus. Must pass a pre-employment physical, reference checks, drug screen, motor-vehicle report and criminal background check. Must be able to obtain a TWIC card High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Computer skills (light data entry) Basic Math Skills Valid Driver's License
