The position of Transload Operator is responsible for the daily unloading of materials consisting of a variety of bulk liquids Ability to understand and follow operating procedures and policies, to operate or learn to operate railcar loading systems and equipment, to operate or learn to operate Class 1 locomotives, to perform or learn to perform switch operations, to perform work safely and productively Interest in being cross-trained on all functions at the facility Perform general maintenance on equipment and assist with handyman duties within the facility (general maintenance, landscape upkeep & painting) Interact with plant people, railroad crews, and visitors Requirements to be successful in this position: For safety reasons, you must be able to read, write, understand, and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English Must be able to obtain a TWIC card High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Computer skills (light data entry), Basic math Skills Valid Driver's License Capable of learning how to operate and maintain Class 1 Power Units (no CDL required), Railcar/trans loading equipment (e.g., Hoses, portable conveyors, transfer pumps, portable stair systems, small to medium-sized equipment, etc.) Here are some of the physical Requirements for this role: Physically able to climb up and down railcars, ladders, and stairs safely; comfortable working at heights Willing to receive general safety training Ability to work outside in all weather conditions Willing to work with liquid non-hazardous bulk materials Can carry at least fifty (50) pounds, in good physical condition (able to walk one (1) to two (2) miles per shift) #IND1
