This role includes the remote and onsite technical support, supervision of machinery installation, training and commissioning of new and used equipment for our customers. This role will serve as a key contributor to the improvement of existing equipment, process designs and sales growth.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate installation and commission equipment sold internationally. Train customers in operations and maintenance on equipment sold by GBM. Possess the ability to work around running equipment safely in a high speed environment. Coordinate visits of potential customers, insuring their equipment's informational needs are met.

  • Conducts the build/rebuild of modules as needed for spare parts, customers, or new equipment. Advises, analyzes, and problem solves with existing equipment. Provides customers with on-site and phone support for field service assistance in order to resolve equipment problems. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups.

  • Support updates of the instructional and service manuals, communicating these updates to all customers. Supports the technical team with the development of design improvements. Evaluates equipment warranty claims, making recommendations for equitable resolution. Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements.

  • Listen and respond to the voice of the customer as part of the daily execution of sales support. Execute the business plan provided from the business development manager that ensures the achievement of volume, margin and profit targets. Independently organize service trips and generate spare parts lists to optimize trip costs. Independently respond to client's service requests and manage troubleshooting SOPs in accordance with the Green Bay Machinery USA team.

  • Work cross functionally within Green Bay Machinery to develop, revise and implement programs to meet customer requirements. Comprehensive follow through with internal and external customers to assure alignment with customer expectations. Responsible for retaining and cultivating assigned customers and acquiring new customers.

  • Ensure placement of Green Bay Machinery products in customer's product portfolio. Provide timely information necessary to all internal Green Bay Machinery departments to meet the external customer's requests.

Key Ingredients:

  • Associates in Technical, Engineering or related field

  • 3+ years of Field Service, 2+ years of Sales Support with 4+ years preferred

  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment, preferred equipment design in food industry such as equipment used for packaging, sealing, forming, cutting and product transfer operations

  • The ability to be effective in a cross-functional team environment. The effective candidate will also possess excellent communication and organizational skills with an ability to work effectively in a fast paced and dynamic team environment. Must have the skills needed to operate hand and power tools and be able to work around high speed equipment. Must have the ability to work in various working conditions based upon international location.

  • Availability to travel up to 40% internationally (on annual basis)
