As the Technical Specification Analyst, you will contribute to the success of Schreiber Foods by being responsible for specification content for new and existing items. In this regard, you will be responsible for following established business rules for specification format and content. Information and specification types will include, but not be limited to, ingredients and bulk, intermediate products, formulas, and finished products. To be successful. you'll demonstrated strong knowledge and understanding of specifications and their integration with the rest of the PLM process.

You will develop and maintain cross functional relationships with other PLM users, especially within R&D. You will also be responsible for working with the PLM Systems Team to design and test process and system changes which may impact any of their areas of responsibility.

Through attention to detail, timely creation, and updating of specifications, this effort will ensure core PLM and ERP systems are up to date and accurate sources of information for raw materials, formulas and finished products. 

This position is located at our Home Office, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. We offer a hybrid schedule, with the opportunity to work from home up to 2 days a week.

What you'll do:

  • Enter, review and maintain complete information (non-nutritional specification data) for existing and new raw materials (Optiva / Oracle).
  • Maintain a detailed tracking file for new/updated raw materials.
  • Review and compare technical product documents to validate specification data accuracy in the system and ensure required documents have been obtained.
  • Help problem solve issues during the onboarding/update process.
  • Work with PLM Systems team to maintain data integrity by completing Data Maintenance projects.
  • Review formulas for accurate and complete information.
  • Update system information for updated raw materials and formulas.
  • Work with R&D and Label Compliance to validate specification changes to understand impacts to finished good labels. 
  • Participate cross functionally in team efforts to raise and resolve issues related to processes or data (Optiva / Oracle).
  • Work with PLM Systems team to design and tests processes and reports.

What you need to succeed:

  • Associates in Technical writing, database knowledge /experience.  Bachelor's degree preferred. 
  • 2+ years of experience in Technical writing, food industry, laboratory, microbiological (esp. ingredients and/or dairy products), Quality Assurance/Quality Control, Computer database management, ORACLE systems.
  • Understanding of typical composition of dairy ingredients and finished products.
  • Highly detail oriented.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and to raise and resolve issues.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong general computer aptitude.
  • Desire to take on new challenges and opportunities.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%.
