Role and Responsibilities:
As a Behavioral Health Nurse (RN), you will be critical in providing compassionate and comprehensive care to patients with mental health and behavioral disorders. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with individuals of all ages to assess their needs, develop care plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to promote mental wellness and stability.
- Advocating for patients and contributing to their holistic treatment and recovery.
- Assisting in patient care activities, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Monitoring patients' conditions and providing support during their treatment journey.
Minimum Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing – Required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing – Preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
- Handle with Care Certification or CPI (within 90 days of hire) – Required
- ACLS – Preferred
- Valid licensure in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse (RN) or multi-state/compact RN license
Minimum Education:
- High school diploma or GED – Required
- Associate degree in a related field – Preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
- Handle with Care Certification or CPI (within 90 days of hire) – Required
- Fast-paced healthcare settings include psychiatric facilities, outpatient clinics, and St. Francis Medical Group community hospitals.
- Potential exposure to challenging patient behaviors and emotionally charged situations.
- Regular collaboration with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
Compensation Information:
$33.00 / Hourly - $45.00 / HourlyDetails:
Base rate is for new grads. Experienced RNs have a higher base rate.
